METHODOLOGY & LIMITATIONS

What the report does—and what it does not do

Smart Health Report is an informational decision-support document built from the values in a laboratory report and the health information supplied by the customer. It is designed to organize results and support a more productive conversation with a qualified clinician.

It is not a diagnosis. It does not replace medical history-taking, physical examination, repeat testing, or advice from a licensed healthcare professional.

1. Input review

The system reads available biomarkers, units, reference ranges and collection details. Results can vary with laboratories, methods, fasting status, medicines, illness and biological variation. Missing markers reduce which analyses can be performed.

2. Standardisation and quality checks

Values and units are organized into relevant body systems. Obvious gaps or incompatible units must be resolved before an index is calculated. The original laboratory result remains the source of truth.

3. Published indices

Applicable indices may be calculated from their published formulas. Examples include FIB-4, APRI, TyG and atherogenic lipid ratios. Not every index is appropriate for every person; age, pregnancy, existing disease and medication can affect interpretation.

4. Pattern summaries

The report groups related findings and explains possible interpretations in plain language. A pattern is a screening signal, not proof of a condition. Normal-looking results also do not exclude disease.

5. Action planning

Lifestyle suggestions are educational. Medication changes, supplement doses, diagnoses and treatment decisions should be made with an appropriately qualified professional who knows the person's complete history.
